Iniciarse en la administración de Vocality

Comunicación con el Nodo local

Hay tres modos principales de configuración

1. Display de menús formateados
2. Modo TTY/Teletipo
3. Telnet

Los dos primeros via puerto de supervisor mediante emulador de terminal y el último a través de ethernet.

Para el puerto "supervisor" configurar los siguientes parámetros:

• 9600 bps, 8, N, 1
• Emulación VT100
• Sin Control de flujo
• Usar las teclas de función, de control y flechas como teclas de Terminal.
• La tecla de espacio, cambia los valores.

• <Ctrl>E - Reinicia al modo Supervisor.
• <Ctrl>T  dos veces - Entra en modo teletipo.
• <Ctrl>RRR - Reinicia en modo factoria (por defecto).
• <Shift>DDD, M - Modo Debug.

Después de presionar -flecha arriba- aparece el menú principal. En la cabecera se muestra el número de nodo y el estado del agregado. En el pie de la página se muestra la configuración activa.

MENU PRINCIPAL (MAIN MENU)

Los submenús del menú principal varían según el modelo de multiplexor.
Submenús comunes a todos los modelos:

SYSTEM: En él se configura el nombre y el ID del Nodo.

CONFIGURATIONS 

• Configurations are saved every time a user exits (and saves) a menu screen.
• Alternative configurations can be activated.
• Stored configurations can be changed offline.
• Up to 7 user configurations can be stored.

CLOCK STRATEGY

• There are two global clocks (GRX and GTX) on V150/200/50 plus and only one (GRX) on V25. 
• On the V150/V200/V50 plus, the clocks run continuously at fixed frequency of 6.144MHz. 
• The clocks may be 'tuned' slightly in order to lock to other timing source. 
• Source can either be a 'real' clock, or can be derived from the data rate on a source which has no associated clock, such as an IP aggregate. 
• GRX and GTX are produced by a pair of identical VCXOs.

En conexiones a terminales satélite el reloj GLOBAL GRX se extraerá de los datos. En conexiones IP entre dos V25 se configurará Clk interno en un extremo y Clk derivado del agregado (IP Agg) en el otro. 

ROUTING

• For directly connected nodes, by default traffic to remote nodes is routed down the same port thet the local unit has received traffic from the remote node in on.
• To override this or for indirectly connected nodes then an entry in the routing table must be made.

Special cases: 

ANY - all traffic is sent through this aggregate connection. Unless there is a more specific entry.

BRD - Broadcast traffic is sent through this connection.

Data Ports

Can be configured as an V24/RS232, V11, V.35, RS422, V36 or RS449 interface.

Data ports in vocality have a DB15F HD (vga) non standard interface:
